Minor Scales, Scales Approach, and Triadic 4th Approach over a Minor 2-5-1 Chord Progression
In this masterclass we are going to use a ‘Minor Blues in C’ to help us with the theoretical analysis. We are going to take a look at different improvisational approaches to the minor 2-5-1 chord progression, specifically the ‘one scale approach’ vs the ‘chord to scale approach’.
Firstly we are going to examine the tonic, which can have many different colors in this minor setting and then with the help of three different groove patterns we will be able to dive deeper into the scales approach, the triadic 4th approach, and the improvisation over minor Blues.
With this Masterclass you will also receive complementary music sheets.
