Pentatonics, Voice Leading using Double Stops or Triads, and Hendrix Style Chordal Approach

In this masterclass we will be looking at “Mo Better Blues” as an example of a simple modal composition. Apart from using major and minor pentatonic scales to improvise over these types of modal changes, we will also examine the voice leading in double stops, the triads, and the Hendrix-style chordal approach using basic chord shapes and adding notes around the chords.
